Lord’s Day Message

Philippians 4:1~9

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (6~7)

Message Outlines

To live a joyful Christian life there are a few things we need to learn:

  1. How’s our relationship with other saints?
  • Not to criticize or complain their weakness or failure, but learn to see the saints as our joy and crown.
  • Learn to be together with others, with the same mind, the same yoke, the same labor, and the same work because we all on the book of life.
  • No selfness or pride but let our gentleness be known to everyone.

2. How’s our relationship with the Lord?

  • To know and experience that the Lord is near
  • Make everything in our living known to God through our prayer, petition, and thanks
  • Cast out our anxiety and fully trust in the Lord

3. How do we take care of ourselves?

  • Think the positive things, whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, any excellence, or anything worthy of praise
  • Practice what we have learned, and received and heard and seen in those who help us

 Hannah Cui’s Testimony

Going into the first conference our Church had held since 2010, I was very excited. Never did I realise though, that Titus Chu would have such a powerful presence and be such an amazing speaker.

I feel that this conference has not only helped me to gain knowledge. More than that, I have gained an insight and had an experience as to WHAT, WHO and WHY God is who He is! Every time we touch the Lord, we are a new creation with a new beginning. God is constantly inviting us home, no matter what, because we are all ‘little children’ and ‘young men’. We are made in God’s likeness outwardly, and God’s image inwardly- the result becomes our testimony. The Spirit was truly among us throughout the conference.

Some concepts I have yet to understand, but Bro Titus Chu has laid a very solid foundation (on rock! J) not only for me, but for our whole church as one body. Praise the Lord for His work! I will be praying that we may all grow and become spiritually mature. Amen.

Jeffrey Wang’s Testimony

Speeches can be taken in two ways. They can be times when you sit in a chair for two hours and struggle against sleep. But they can also be times when you learn and receive an insight, moments of your life that can prove invaluable. The Titus Chu Conference helped me to understand more about God and Christ. Yes, it was Confucius. I will admit that. But at the end of the day, I walked out knowing more are about Christ than when I walked in. We are all children in the spirit and we can all learn and that is exactly what we did. Over the course of the conference, we listened to five speeches. We got to know God better in those three days.

Insight is a powerful description of what I received. I’ve been a Christian for years now but there are still things I don’t understand. Insight is when you look deeper. Titus helped me achieve that. I was more aware and more understanding on the subject of Christianity. I must say that I was not very excited about the idea of the speeches. I have low concentration and a tendency to drift off but the speeches Titus gave were different. You actually wanted to listen to the speeches. Why? Because they were interesting and more importantly, insightful. It could’ve been an interesting speech on cheese but I really wouldn’t have cared. I enjoyed the insight it gave me. A deeper meaning of Christianity. And Titus helped me achieve that.

During the first speech, I’ll be honest, I was bored. I didn’t really concentrate. I was more interesting in making equations using the numbers on the verses to make the number 10. But when I look back, I realise that I learnt and received an insight. The next few speeches, however, I gave him my attention because I knew that good would come of it and that it would give me the insight I needed.

When I look back on the conference, I feel happy that I had done something that was going to help me in my Christian faith. I thank Titus for talking to us, teaching us and giving me and everyone else, an insight.
