“We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labour of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 1:2~3, ESV)
“But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. … For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.” (1 Thess. 2:7, 11~12)
“For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy.” (1 Thess. 2:19~20)
“For this reason, brothers, in all our distress and affliction we have been comforted about you through your faith. For now we live, if you are standing fast in the Lord.” (1 Thess. 3:7~8)
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honour,” (1 Thess. 4:3~4)
“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. … Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thess. 4:13~14, 17~18)
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 5:16~23)

Announcements：
- On May 12 Mother’s Day, the brothers will prepare BBQ and salads and the young people will prepare dessert for the love feast.
- Someone in the church has a food allergy. When you bring the dishes for the lunch on Lord’s Day, please do not bring anything that contains nuts. If you do, please put a note and separate it from other food.
- Please make the meeting on time or even earlier so that all can come together to enjoy the presence of the Lord and His rich supply.
- On June 8 we will have an English speaking conference for the young people. The topic will be “The choice of your life and the salvation of Christ” based on the book of Ruth.
- In June there is perfecting trainings in Cleveland, USA. On June 17~21 and 24~29, the training is for the study on Galatians. If any brother or sister is interested to participate, please contact Brother Yu-Lin Wang.
Intercession：
- Pray for the school work of the young people in the new term. And especially pray for their conference on June 8. May the Lord give us the burning Spirit that all of us can know His love and become His lover.
- May the Lord give every brother and sister a spirit of preaching gospel and open the hearts of all friends that they can receive the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Pray that the Lord will give every brother and sister healthiness, peace and joy in our daily living. May the Lord heal those who are sick according to His good will that we can experience His great love and power of resurrection.
