Lord’s Day Message
Topics: The Cooperated Serving in the Church Life
Bible Verses: 1 Pet 2:9; Rom. 12:3~8
Important Verses:
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” (1 Pet. 2:9, NKJV)
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” (Rom. 12:3, NKJV)
Message Outline
- Our serving is a serving of priesthood
- Priests’ serving is to bring men before God as well bring God among Men. However, this is not only an individual work but also a serving of whole church.
- The sacrifice of an individual will touch people, but cooperated serving will present a beautiful picture. The serving of Moses in OT touched people, but we see a more beautiful picture that through the offering of all Israelites the tabernacle can be built up and through the serving of all Israelites the tabernacle can be filled with the cloud of the Spirit.
2. The serving and coordination of the members of the body
- We should learn to see according to the measure of faith. Here “to see” does not only mean to see ourselves but also to see others. In serving we must have a proper vision. If we see people higher, we will be easily proud or become divisive; but if we see people lower, we will easily despise ourselves or reject others.
- We need to recognize that all persons are different but we need each other. God has given everyone different gifts so each has his own function. Therefore we need each other and need to join together so that whole body can move forward and the cooperated blessing can be produced.

- Pray that the Lord will give every brother and sister healthiness, peace and joy in our daily living that He will not lead us into temptation and deliver us from the evil one (Mat. 6:13).
- Please pray for those whose loved ones have serious sickness. May the Lord heal the sick according to His will as well as comfort and strengthen the saints.
- Pray for the gospel that the Lord can bless the new ones around us and in campus. May the Lord add more to His church.
